世界卫浴市场发表了一份关于浴室设备的最新市场报告,报告涵盖了亚洲、欧洲和美洲的23个国家。该报告包括洁具,水暖龙头和明三联式浴缸水嘴,标准浴缸,水按摩浴室及喷射式塔盆。对于帮助公司跟进国际市场潮流,把握机会提供了可靠的依据。
2005年世界洁具市场销售额达到了70亿美元, 据BSRIA分析占了全部浴室设备的32%。 美国以25%的份额位居全球最大的洁具市场,紧跟其后的是中国,日本,德国和意大利,这些国家加在一起占了37%的份额。
主要市场因国家不同而特征各异。在美国每个新房子的浴室数量都有所增加,意大利市场呈两极化趋势,西班牙因新建筑增多而需求上升,而在中国,外国品牌开始瞄准零售市场。

The world sanitaryware market reached US$ 7.0 billion at manufacturers' selling prices in 2005 which represented 32% of the total bathroom equipment market analysed by BSRIA. The USA was the largest sanitaryware market by value 25% followed by China Japan Germany and Italy which overall accounted for a further 37%.
Major market features vary from country to country. In the USA there is an increased number of bathrooms per new dwellings the Italian market is becoming polarised towards either the top or bottom end the market in Spain is still highly driven by new construction. In China foreign brands have started targeting the retail market.
Ceramic sanitaryware accounted for 84% of the total market by value while non-ceramic units accounted for the remaining 16%. Plastic overwhelmingly dominates the non-ceramic materials a market mainly restricted to cisterns and basins and dominated by Germany and USA respectively.
STEADY GROWTH OF SANITARYWARE MARKETS
The sanitaryware market is foreseen to grow at a steady annual rate of 3.2% until 2008 across the 23 countries analysed Figure 1. Two thirds of the total are predicted to come from China India. Brazil Russia and Turkey. Countries in Eastern Europe are also expected to enjoy higher annual growth rates although still from a small base. Common features to those markets are low manufacturer selling prices a fragmented supply structure and a greater need for refurbishment.
PRODUCT SEGMENTATION
The total ceramic basin market stood at just over 60 million units US$1.6 billion in 2005. Although China and India dominate the world ceramic basin market by volume the USA has the biggest market share by value with almost 18% of the total. The share of vanity basins is growing quickly to the detriment of pedestal-type basins.
The ceramic WC market reached 74 million units US$2.6 billion in 2005. Closed-coupled WCs for the top ten markets held 59% of world volume sales in 2005. China was the largest market at 13.5 million units in 2005 followed by the US with 8.7 million unit sales.
Sales of other WC types occupy a minor segment among the largest WC markets with Japan holding 65% of total sales. These are tankless toilets which use water directly from the water supply in order to flush the toilet.
The total pedestal market stood at just over 17.5 million units US$ 261 million in 2005. China is by far the largest market in the world by volume accounting for over 26% of total pedestal sales in 2005. This is two times the volume sales in Russia the second largest market holding
almost 13% in the same period.
The total cistern market accounted for nearly 61 million units US$1.7 billion in 2005. The majority of cisterns are ceramic 71% with plastic being the second most popular material. China the USA and Russia dominate the total ceramic cistern market.
The total bidet market stood at 3.3 million units US$200 million in 2005. The market for bidets is restricted to a few countries notably Italy and Spain. There is a clear tendency in Asia especially in South Korea and Japan towards shower toilets or electronic bidets hence sales for ″conventional″ bidets in these countries are negligible.
