销售和终端消费者
超过70%的卫浴设备是通过批发商和建筑商销售的,到自助店购买的仅占15%(图二),其余是通过专门店,其他零售商以及直销给建筑商和承包商的。对整个市场来讲,翻新工程是最大的行业催化剂,占据总销售额的43%(尤其是俄罗斯,乌克兰和巴西), 新建工程也占了39% 的比重(以印度,墨西哥和西班牙为重要市场)。商业/公共市场占据余下的18%

美标是世界洁具市场的领头羊。据2005年分析,在23个最重要的国家中,该公司占有整个市场13%的份额。紧跟其后的是科勒,乐家和TOTO。在塑料水箱市场中,非陶瓷市场由Geberit公司以及众多的各地厂家分享,近来在露天的水箱市场上也表现活跃。
在中国市场,外国品牌和中外合资企业生产的产品在销量上占有可观的市场比例。2005年的销售业绩中,国内品牌占75.5%, 合资品牌占24%,进口品牌0.5%。在国产品牌中,华达最受城市居民的喜爱,然后是唐陶,箭牌,米林,斯威尔和鹰牌。外国牌子中TOTO, 美标,科勒,乐家和Giessdorf 遥遥领先。

DISTRIBUTION AND END USERS
Over 70% of the sanitaryware units were sold via wholesalers and builders' merchants whereas sales via do-it-yourself outlets accounted for 15% Figure 2. Specialist shops other retailers and direct sales to house builders and contractors accounted for the remaining sales. The refurbishment sector is the major driver of the overall market. It accounted for 43% of the total sales particularly strong are Russia Ukraine and Brazil whereas the new build sector reached 39% significant markets being India Mexico and Spain. Commercial/institutional markets accounted for the remaining 18%.
SUPPLY STRUCTURE
American Standard is the world's leading supplier of ceramic sanitaryware. The American giant was estimated to have a 13% share of the total market across the 23 most significant countries analysed in 2005. It was followed by Kohler Roca and the Japanese company Toto. The market for plastic cisterns - the most prominent of the non-ceramic markets - is split amongst a handful of international players led by Geberit and a huge number of local suppliers the latter most active in the exposed cistern market.
In China foreign name brands and name brand products of Sino-foreign joint ventures have taken a considerable market share in terms of volume. Sales in 2005 may be divided by domestic brands accounting for 75.5% those of Sino-foreign joint ventures 24% and imported brands 0.5%. Of the domestic brands Huida is the most popular among urban residents followed by Tangtao and then other brands including Arrow Milim Swell and Eagle. Amongst foreign brands Toto American Standard Kohler Roca and Giessdorf are the leading foreign companies.
